Chief Executive Officer and President
Mr. Jakubcanin brings over 15 years of healthcare executive leadership experience in long-term acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health care, personal care services, hospice, and medical home care. Mr. Jakubcanin joins Cornerstone from AccentCare where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to AccentCare, he served as Senior Vice President of Kindred Healthcare’s Central Region. Overall, he served 13 years at Kindred Healthcare with increasing levels of responsibility. Mr. Jakubcanin is a trained Pharmacist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and an MBA from Wayne State University.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Schultz has over 20 years’ of executive healthcare financial leadership experience in long-term acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, behavioral health and acute care. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Mr. Schultz served in Division and Regional CFO roles with Psychiatric Solutions/Universal Health Services. Prior to this, he held executive positions, including the Vice President of Finance (Midwest Region), with Kindred Healthcare. Mr. Schultz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from St. Xavier University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dr. Joseph Gottfried
Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President, Medical Affairs
Dr. Gottfried leads and supports growth strategies and business innovation, and provides consultation to Cornerstone’s hospitals on physician engagement and programs to advance patient safety and clinical quality. Dr. Gottfried joined Cornerstone from the McKinsey Hospital Institute in London, England, where he led major change initiatives at hospitals and health systems. In addition to his work abroad, Dr. Gottfried spent four years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York, serving a variety of healthcare companies on strategic, operational, and financial issues. Dr. Gottfried completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has practiced medicine as a hospitalist/intensivist in North Carolina and Washington State, and as an attending physician in Emergency and Internal Medicine with the Veterans Health Administration. He has also worked in the Office of the General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and at a major law firm on FDA and healthcare regulatory matters. Dr. Gottfried received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. McDonough brings over 20 years’ experience in the practice of healthcare law and regulations. Prior to joining Cornerstone, his experience included legal roles supporting a range of healthcare providers, including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, home health and hospice. Mr. McDonough is licensed to practice law in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. He received his J.D. from The University of Tulsa and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Long Term Acute Care Hospital Operations
Vice President Hospital Operations
Mr. Floyd brings over 20 years of nursing and operations experience in short and long term acute care, long term care, rehabilitation and psychiatry. His professional career began as a staff nurse and progressed into clinical and operations leadership roles. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Mr. Floyd’s leadership experience includes Regional Vice President for Select Medical where he oversaw hospital operations for 19 facilities, Regional Chief Executive Officer for Vibra Healthcare for the Dallas market, and Chief Executive Officer for long term acute care hospitals with Select Medical and Kindred Healthcare. He is a Registered Nurse.
Vice President Hospital Operations
Mr. O’Sullivan, FACHE, has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare administration, holding senior leadership positions spanning across physician group practice management, short-term acute care regional health systems and long-term acute care regional operations. His career included over 12 years in the West Virginia Air National Guard as both an Enlisted Airman and an Officer. After working for Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance, he joined Regency Hospital Company and served as Chief Executive Officer in Mississippi and Georgia hospitals. He transitioned his career to LifeCare Management Services and oversaw hospital operations in Nevada, Idaho and Colorado. Mr. O’Sullivan earned a doctorate in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master of Healthcare Management from Marshall University and an undergraduate degree from Concord College.
Vice President, Clinical Services
Ms. Lewis brings over 20 years of experience to her executive clinical leadership role with Cornerstone. Ms. Lewis’ professional experience includes executive leadership roles in short – and long-term acute care, as well as rehabilitation hospitals. Prior to joining Cornerstone, she served as the Vice President of Clinical and Quality Services for Acuity Healthcare and had previously served as a Regional Chief Nursing Officer for HealthSouth. Ms. Lewis is a Registered Nurse with a Master of Nursing Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mid-Western State University. She is a Board Certified Nurse Executive and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
Julia A. Davis
Vice President of Case Management and CDI
Ms. Davis is a dynamic healthcare leader with over seventeen years of specialized experience in Case Management. As Vice President of Case Management, Ms. Davis will have complete oversight of the day to day operations of the Case Management programs for a portfolio of hospitals. She will lead Cornerstone’s ongoing case management strategy and will track Case Management data, noting trends, and identify improvement opportunities. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Ms. Davis served as Vice President of Case Management for Acuity Healthcare. She holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from South University and a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Northwestern Ohio. She is an active member of Case Management Society of America (CMSA) and the American Case Management Association (ACMA).
Vice President of Managed Care
Ms. Drake has over 20 years of experience in marketing and managed care, specializing in LTACH. As Vice President of Managed Care, Ms. Drake is responsible for all aspects of managed care for the organization. She will lead Cornerstone’s ongoing managed care strategy development to include care continuum expansion, geographic expansion and involvement in emerging ACOs and related accountable care initiatives. Her professional career began as a Registered Nurse and progressed into operational and executive leadership roles with nationally recognized long term acute care and rehabilitation providers. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Ms. Drake served as the Vice President of Managed Care for Acuity Healthcare. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Baptist University and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare. She is an active member of the American Association of Managed Care Nurses and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Saul has over 30 years of experience in the Behavioral Health industry. In 2011, he established Psychiatric Resource Partners, a leading national outsourcing company where he served as President. Mike previously spent 18 years with Horizon Health Corporation in a number of roles and was appointed President & CEO in 2007. He has worked for some of the most prominent healthcare companies in the United States including Acadia Healthcare, Universal Health Services, Psychiatric Solutions, and Tenet Healthcare. He holds his Master of Business Administration from Webster University, as well as a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Mr. Saul brings his expertise in acquisitions, development, and multi-site operations to create a premier Behavioral Health company under Cornerstone Healthcare Group.
Corporate Director, Clinical Practice
With 29 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, Ms. King is responsible for the psychiatric clinical operations at Cornerstone Behavioral Health. Ms. King has held leadership roles as Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Clinical Services, Corporate Compliance Officer, and Risk Manager. Prior to joining Cornerstone, she worked at Baylor University Medical Center and Universal Health Systems. Most recently, Ms. King worked for Springstone and Aurora Behavioral Health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University and her Master of Science in Business and Human Relations from Amber University. Ms. King is certified in Psychiatric Nursing.

President Senior Living
Mr. Boemer is a seasoned healthcare professional with over twenty years of industry experience in senior living. He brings expertise, passion and leadership to the table along with his enthusiasm for healthcare. As the Chief Operating Officer for Senior Care, he will provide operational oversight to senior care facilities. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Greg was the Vice President of Operations for Capital Senior Living. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and attended the University of North Texas with an emphasis in Gerontology.

Chief Information Officer
Ms. Adams is an experienced healthcare technology professional with over 15 years’ experience. Ms. Adams brings demonstrated experience in strategic planning, developing, designing, and implementing information systems. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Ms. Adams served as the Vice President of Information Technology for Texas Health Resources, where she led the EMR integration and consolidation efforts of a multi-site healthcare group. Ms. Adams holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Alabama.
Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Perkins has over 18 years of healthcare human resources experience. He previously served as the Corporate Sr. Director of HR for USMD and as Corporate Director of HR with Horizon Health Corporation. He received a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University. Mr. Perkins is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management.
Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller
Mr. Baggett is a seasoned financial professional and has thirteen years of leadership in corporate finance to include healthcare. As Vice President of Finance, Mr. Baggett will be responsible for setting and leading Cornerstone’s financial goals, objectives and long-term forecasting. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Mr. Baggett served as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at USMD Holdings. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of North Texas.
