Health and Wellness
Medical, Dental and Vision
Comprehensive plans are available for you and your dependents. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following 30 days of continuous full-time employment.
Our medical insurance provider, Blue Cross Blue Shield, offers certain benefits for employees enrolled in the health insurance program as well as incentives for participating in healthy lifestyle activities. These include fitness center and medical products discounts, healthy lifestyle newsletters, online health and wellness community chat line and preventive care guidelines.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Paid Time Off is provided for vacation, illness or injury, personal business, bereavement and company-recognized holidays. Eligible full-time employees accrue time off each paycheck.
Flexible Spending Accounts
We offer flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care. Full-time and part-time employees can use this benefit to set aside pre-tax payroll deductions to build up cash for eligible expenses.
Health Reimbursement Accounts
Employees participating in the Cornerstone consumer driven medical benefits program will be provided with annual company contributions to assist with any covered medically related out-of-pocket expenses. Any unused portions of the HRA contributions are eligible to be rolled over for the following year up to the annual out-of-pocket maximum for their particular tier of coverage.
Life and Income Protection
Full-time employees are provided with life insurance coverage of one times their salary at no charge to them. Employees may add supplemental coverage of up to 3 times their annual salary up to a maximum of $750,000.
Voluntary Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) plans are available to you at affordable group prices.
Critical Illness Insurance
Benefit eligible employees can elect Critical Illness coverage that will pay a lump sum benefit directly to the insured upon first diagnosis of a covered critical illness. Employees can select a benefit from $5,000-$50,000. Covered illnesses include but are not limited to heart attack, stroke, invasive cancer and end-stage renal failure. Family coverage is also available.
Employees can build long-term financial security with Cornerstone Healthcare’s 401(k) Plan, which provides opportunities to save via a traditional pre-tax contribution and an annual discretionary company contribution. The Company’s 401(k) Plan offers a range of low cost mutual funds to fit each individual’s investment strategy. Employees are eligible to participate the first day of the month following 90 days of continuous full-time employment.
New Cornerstone clinical staff will be partnered with an experienced nursing staff member who will provide them with a formalized orientation and on-boarding process. The duration of the preceptor relationship may vary based on the experience, knowledge and skillset of the new team member. The preceptorship process provides the new nursing employee with essential information they need to more effectively learn the most important aspects of their primary clinical duties and responsibilities.
Employees can access a full complement of on-line courses at no cost. There are several discipline-specific courses on topics recommended by the staff. In addition, web-based education and online instruction modules provide many options for increasing your knowledge and competency. Cornerstone also allocates continuing education funds to support approved additional educational opportunities for clinical staff.
This program is designed to help employees achieve the dream of a college education or a graduate degree. Tuition reimbursement is available to full-time and part-time employees pursuing job-related education from accredited schools. Employees are reimbursed once the course is completed and grades are received.
Employees may choose to have paychecks electronically deposited directly into personal accounts.
