This year, home for the holidays holds a deeper meaning for Mr. Guzman and his family.
When Mr. Guzman transitioned to Solara Specialty Hospitals to receive continued care for COVID19 complications, he required a high flow of oxygen and assistance from our rehabilitation team to transfer and walk.
Our interdisciplinary team collaborated with Mr. Guzman on a treatment plan designed to encourage him and make his goals attainable. Mr. Guzman followed this plan diligently and always remembered his ultimate goal of returning home.
Through hard work, perseverance, and motivation from our team, Mr. Guzman accomplished this goal! He regained the ability to walk independently with minimal oxygen support. Before he was discharged, Mr. Guzman shared how thankful he is to be home for the holidays with his family!
