Mr. Judkins

In May, Mr. Judkins transitioned to Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals West Monroe to receive continued care for COVID19 complications, pneumonia, and respiratory failure.
When Mr. Judkins arrived at Cornerstone, he was on a ventilator and needed a tracheostomy tube to help him breathe. He wasn’t able to perform self-care activities or walk without assistance. In addition, Mr. Judkins required a feeding tube for his nutritional needs.
Thanks to our dedicated respiratory therapists and clinical team, Mr. Judkins was weaned from the ventilator and able to breathe on his own again within 16 days at Cornerstone!
Alongside this respiratory improvement, Mr. Judkins continued to push himself during his rehabilitation sessions! Upon discharge, Mr. Judkins was enjoying his food and performing self-care activities independently! He was able to walk 125 feet with a rolling walker!
We’re so honored to help Mr. Judkins return home to his family!
