In June, Mr. LeClair transitioned to Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Bossier City to receive continued care for COVID-19. When Mr. LeClair arrived at Cornerstone, he was on a ventilator and sedated.
As Mr. LeClair became stable and alert, our interdisciplinary team developed a treatment plan to help Mr. LeClair rebuild his mobility and improve his oxygen needs.
In one month, Mr. LeClair achieved his goals! Upon discharge, Mr. LeClair was able to perform self-care activities and walk 150 feet with minimal assistance. When he left Cornerstone, Mr. LeClair was breathing on his own and excited to continue his recovery at an inpatient rehabilitation facility.
