At the beginning of June, Mr. Morales transitioned to Solara Specialty Hospitals Brownsville to receive continued care for heart and respiratory failure.
When Mr. Morales arrived at Solara, he required assistance for all self-care activities and a tracheostomy tube to help him breathe. He was unable to walk without help and needed a feeding tube to meet his nutrition requirements.
Mr. Morales’ main goal was to return home to his family. With this in mind, he never gave up on his aggressive treatment plan.
In three weeks, Mr. Morales achieved his goal! Thanks to the collaboration between our clinical team, physician specialist, and rehabilitation team, Mr. Morales regained his health and independence!
Upon discharge to his home, Mr. Morales was able to breathe on his own, enjoy a regular diet, and return to his active lifestyle!
