Mr. Underwood, a local business owner, suffered a bilateral thalamic stroke and respiratory failure. When he arrived at Cornerstone, Mr. Underwood was on a ventilator and unable to move without assistance.
Due to the nature of his stroke, our team knew Mr. Underwood’s recovery would be challenging. However, we were determined to help Mr. Underwood rebuild his life.
Thanks to hard work and resilience, Mr. Underwood was weaned from the ventilator and able to participate in his therapy sessions. Mr. Underwood was discharged to an inpatient rehabilitation facility to continue his recovery. Congratulations, Mr. Underwood!
